AUTOAUTH Registration Instructions
In 2018, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles USA (FCA) introduced the Security Gateway Module (SGW) to block unauthorized access to certain vehicle electronic systems. According to FCA, the SGW was designed to restrict "the ability of non-registered and non-authenticated users to perform intrusive diagnostics, such as bi-directional controls." As a result, users are unable to directly clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) or conduct any bi-directional control tests, including actuation, relearn, and calibration on vehicles equipped with the SGW.
GEARWRENCH users can now access the SGW module and perform previously restricted operations by registering with AUTOAUTH's authentication service, without needing any extra accessories. Users can register through AUTOAUTH's web-based portal, choose the desired package, and add their GEARWRENCH diagnostic tool.
Only available in the US, Canada, and Mexico
