  • Frequently Asked Questions
How should the wrench be stored to maintain its accuracy?
It’s important to store the torque wrench at its lowest setting (but not below its minimum) and in a dry, protected environment to prevent damage and ensure long-term accuracy.
How does the wrench handle adjustment work?
The handle of the micrometer torque wrench features a twist mechanism for adjusting torque settings. Once the desired torque is set, the locking feature secures it to prevent any accidental changes during use.
What kind of tasks is a 1/2" drive torque wrench typically used for?
A 1/2" drive torque wrench is ideal for heavy-duty applications, such as tightening larger fasteners on vehicles, suspension components, and industrial equipment, where higher torque is necessary.
My GEARWRENCH torque wrench is out of warranty, how can I get it repaired?
Our torque products are covered under a 1 year warranty with 90 day calibration guarantee. If your GEARWRENCH torque product is outside of this window and needs to be repaired, please check out our warranty page for our authorized repair centers in the US and Canada.
