  • Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of applications is a ¼” drive torque wrench best suited for?
A ¼” drive torque wrench is ideal for precision work, such as small fasteners found in electronics, bicycles, and light automotive applications. It is great for tasks requiring lower torque.
How do I know when I have reached the set torque?
This torque wrench provides an audible "click" sound and a tactile feel when the preset torque is reached, ensuring accurate tightening without over-torquing.
How often should I recalibrate the torque wrench?
Calibration should be performed regularly, especially after extensive use or exposure to harsh environments. The manufacturer typically recommends recalibrating annually or after every 5,000 uses.
My GEARWRENCH torque wrench is out of warranty, how can I get it repaired?
Our torque products are covered under a 1 year warranty with 90 day calibration guarantee. If your GEARWRENCH torque product is outside of this window and needs to be repaired, please check out our warranty page for our authorized repair centers in the US and Canada.
