GEARWRENCH® COMBINES BEST OF RATCHETING AND BOX-END FEATURES IN NEW LONGER, STRONGER WRENCHZero-Degree Offset GearBox™ improves access, leverage, torque & speedBALTIMORE (March 20, 2007)-- GearWrench. today announced GearBox™, a new wrench that is 40 percent longer than standard wrenches on the market, which allows greater access to difficult fasteners as well as increased leverage. Designed for both automotive and industrial professionals, GearBox's zero-degree offset design translates into maximum torque applied to the fastener. GearBox combines the best ratcheting and box-end wrench features in one product. The 90-degree box end of GearBox gives a technician the access and strength required to reach recessed fasteners, which are common in production machine repair and maintenance applications, and counterbores. The ratcheting end features a 5-degree arc for maximum speed and productivity. "Difficult to reach fasteners can be a major drain on productivity, both for the technician as well as the facility where the car or machine is being repaired, said Jeff Svoboda, president of Danaher Tool Group. GearBox brings the most important end-user features into one go-to hand tool that will save precious time and money." GearBox will help reduce tool changeover times in production environments as it eliminates the need to remove obstructions. Much of todays production equipment has been rebuilt with little consideration for serviceability or maintenance. With GearBox, the repair will be made more efficiently and the machine will be up and running more rapidly. "With a broad spectrum of applications for which GearBox can be a valued addition to the toolbox, GearBox is quite effective for most wrench applications," stated Svoboda. For automotive technicians, applications requiring additional length and leverage such as removal and replacement of power steering pumps, air condition condensers, alternators and water pumps will benefit from GearBoxs features. Available in May 2007 through tool and equipment distributors, local mobile drivers, and industrial distributors, GearBox will be available in both metric (8mm to 19mm) and SAE sizes (5/16 to >). Sets available include a 12-piece metric set and 9-piece SAE set. About GearWrench About Danaher Tools |
